Jamaican singer DERAJAH just relased his new catchy and energetic single ASADENAKI.
This new song is part of a new music series, and is about togetherness and unity.
Derajah has been making records since the early 2000’s, but his big break arrived when he started
partnering with prominent guitarist Earl “Chinna” Smith and his band Inna De Yard. However, his 2011
debut album Paris is Burning was recorded with French and Jamaican musicians.
Derajah has worked on a variety of projects since the premiere of his debut, including the production of his
brand new song Asadenaki, whose instrumentation was recorded in Brazil and whose vocals were
produced in Jamaica.
“Asadenaki is an East African language work that symbolize “Mystery” says Derajah, and continues:
“Togetherness is always essential in the Rastafari household, according to Emperor HIM Haile Selassie.
When he was going to be crowned, he showed this to the world, letting everyone know that without
Empress Queen Menen Asfaw, it is impossible to be crowned. As a result, we must concentrate and
organize. No division. As a team, we are powerful. So purify your hearts and enter the Rastafari household
immediately.”
His 2016 self-produced single The Time Is Now served as an album announcement but was delayed when
he re-joined Inna de Yard project in 2017. Derajah is once again concentrating on his own craft and that
this new track is the first in a new series, as he concludes: “it puts my path in a new context. I've made the
decision to keep up my goal of releasing a new song each month.”.
Derajah, who was born in Kingston, Jamaica, has a
modest but noteworthy discography that dates back
to 2002, when he released the song "Righteousness
Just A Flow" for singer/producer Sugar Minott.
After making his debut with Minott's Youthman
Promotion six years prior, Derajah teamed up with
acclaimed session guitarist Earl 'Chinna' Smith, who
led him to join the Inna De Yard crew.
Derajah co-produced the song "Who Yeah Yah",
which has become his hallmark, with Earl ‘Chinna’
Smith.
With the help of this song, he gained followers in
Europe, where he has performed on several
occasions (including at Olympia, New Morning, and
Theatre National de Bruxelles). Derajah also spent
time in France working on the recording of his 2011
breakthrough album, "Paris Is Burning".
Derajah says: “Life experiences are the inspiration for
everything I sing. Any scenario provided me a chance
to think about life, society, and how to improve myself
with the help of the Most High." You may see how
joyful his life is after viewing the documentary "Inna
de Yard: The Soul of Jamaica,” which was released in
theaters in 2019.
His roots and mindful style are always brought to
each studio he visits by this adaptable and open-
minded artist. He is a musician with a voice of his own, a voice with a magical tone that can cross musical
boundaries.
The Jamaican singer Derajah has recorded hundreds of songs and performed live in well over 100 different
countries, including Europe (especially France and the UK), Brazil, and Australia.
He recorded three songs for the Golden Souls label in 2022 that were different from reggae, including "Hit
Me," "Space & Time," and "Mama," showcasing his flexible and unique singing style.

Track Name :Tarrus Riley - Love Salute
The single, produced by Kareem ‘Remus’ Burrell, is the second collaborative effort between the two second generation Reggae royalty musicians. “Love Salute” is a modern day build from Marcia Griffith’s Hold On produced by Kareem’s father Phillip ‘Fatis’ Burrell. Tarrus and Kareem’s rendering keeps the original melody while asking lovers to appreciate love in all forms and never take a person for granted.
[Verse 1]
First of all, mek we take it back to basics
Way before the slaveships
Africa's the basis of humanity's matrix
In my DNA is, the history of the races
Images of places, we visited and stayed in
Evolution changes from minerals to babies
Looking at the fetus, I still can witness all the stages
The wisdom of the ages, was given unto sages
Pictures were engraved in the villages of the natives
Leaders were selected, people were protected
Reason was neglected and belief it was expected
To keep us all connected
Deeply indebted to the God and to respect it
That thought quickly crept in
Brains were developed and the spirits start to dwell in
The mind dem we communicate with, languages and spelling
Travelling and spreading, planning and rebelling
Races developing, but man was still descending
Building large cities was the pattern that was trending
Religion was the engine, division over blending
Only the few could get the knowledge that was pending
Until Christ entered, into Yeshua a the ending
The deliver the... prophecy
[Verse 2]
Hm!
And now is love that I-man sending, to be my brothers keeper
The hill is so much steeper
I got to keep ascending from the psychical to ether
Risen from a creature, to living as a teacher
Delivered from the isms and the schisms of the preacher
Psychic abilities instilled with dem a features
Tap into the memories of nature when I filter
Involuntarily the strong will help the weaker
And the fact, that there's no, need for money make it sweeter
Racial oneness prophesied by the Negus
Selassie say, differences in colour is beneath us
Martin Luther said, oneness is what him dream of, it's the ethos
Soon it will be printed in the Gleaners
These are the prophecies of the Pyramid
'Pon the Accurate Mixtape, I hope you could a keep up
Prophecy...
Prophecy, yeah
Prophecy...
Despite the things you know
All the props you brought for show
You have nothing at all until you know jah
