(AKA – The Reggae Historian)
Hailing out of Northwest London, Sparky the reggae sing jay introduces melodies and tones, which instils drama and excitement, from studio 1 reggae to dance-hall through to hip-hop and RnB. In December 2006 Monnei produced the track “Bring it Back” for Peckings Studio 1, and was taken back by Sparky’s vocals, from then to date a Producer Artist relationship was formed and Sparky became the first recording Artist to join Lamar Entertainment.
Sparky, no newcomer to the music industry, started at the tender age of 8 years old and at age 13 on sound systems, but it would be Java sound system that would introduce and propel Sparky into the dance-hall scene.
Collaborations with America’s very own Gin, and most recently ATL out of Atlanta. UK’s RnB/Funky house sensation, Steelo with the amazing reggae RnB vocal fusion track “Change Your Ways,” Superflex, track entitled “Casanova” a song that reminds you of the height of Pliers and Chaka Demus.

Sparky always stayed true to his soundsystem roots and whether that meant nurturing new talent or spotting the next rising star Sparky is one of a small number of people in the industry to actively nurture the up and coming talent whilst ensuring the torch is passed on properly to see a brighter future for those who will come after him.
Its strange the way how the world works, Mista Sensi from Royal Marx Soundsystem had never met Sparky Rugged in person or spoken to him before, but one day while showcasing at the “UK Badda Dan” Soundclash event he happened to be playing a Sparky Rugged Exclusive when he looked up and saw Sparky Rugged stood before him in the dance….
That day a “Real” Friendship was formed and shortly after Royal Marx Soundsystem was invited to London to feature in the “Nail In Da Coffin” Champions Draw Doing what Royal Marx Believed was a dubplate showcase alongside Platinum Cartel & Mixmaster J.
